abstract PURPOSE:To easily release the core material sealed into a microcapsule by confining an acid generating agent into the capsule and irradiating light thereto to generate an acid, thereby changing the properties of the wall consisting of a silyl ether group-contg. polymer film. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to the microcapsule, in which the acid generating agent to generate the acid when irradiated with light is preliminarily sealed in the capsule to form the microcapsule wall of the polymer film having the silyl ether group decomposable by the acid. The core material sealed in the capsule is easily released by the light when the light is irradiated to the capsule to break down the microcapsule wall itself or to considerably change the characteristics thereof by the generated acid. The core material is otherwise easily released by an extremely weak pressure. The core material is thus easily taken out by the light.
