abstract | PURPOSE: The titled composition being excellent in low-temperature adhesiveness and oily surface adhesion and having suitable flexibility, comprising a specified acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer-modified epoxy compound and a curing agent. n CONSTITUTION: A reaction product obtained by reacting 100pts.wt. epoxy compound (a) having at least one epoxy group in the molecule, of formula IWIII (wherein Z is H, methyl or ethyl), with 5W50wt% acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer (b) having at least one carboxyl group in the molecule is mixed with 10W100pts.wt. diglycidyl ester (c) of formula IV (wherein m is 5W10) or components (a), (b) and (c) are reacted with each other at 130W200°C in the presence of a catalyst (e.g., triethylamine) to obtain an acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer-modified epoxy compound (A).
