titleOfInvention | Production of pyrazole derivative |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a pyrazole derivative useful as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals, etc., with simple operation in high yield, by using an acyl merdrum's acid compound and a hydrazine compound as easily handleable safe raw materials, and reacting the compounds. n CONSTITUTION: The 5-acyl merdrum's acid of formula I (R 1 WR 3 are lower alkyl) produced easily by the conventional acylation of merdrum's acid, etc., is made to react with the hydrazine of formula II [R 5 is H, lower alkyl or (substituted) phenyl] under melting at 100W170°C. After the completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature, and the precipitated crude crystal is recrystallized from a proper organic solvent or, if necessary, reacted in an inert solvent such as ethanol at a temperature between room temperature and the refluxing temperature, preferably under refluxing. After the reaction, the solvent is distilled off, the residue is dissolved in a proper organic solvent and extracted with a dilute aqueous solution of an alkali, the dilute alkali layer is neutralized, extracted with an organic solvent and dried, and the solvent is distilled off to obtain the objective compound of formula III. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
