NEW MATERIAL:The amino acid derivative of formula I(R 1 is H, lower alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; R 2 is 1W4C alkyl having 1W2 groups selected from OH, lower alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, etc.; His is L-histidyl; n is 0 or 1; Y is O or NH; R 3 is 1W7C alkyl) and its acid addition salt. n EXAMPLE: (2RS, 3S)-3-[N-[2-(1-naphthylmethyl)-3-(N-methyl-N-methoxy-carbonyl methylcarbamoyl)propionyl]-L-histidyl]amino-2-hydroxy-5-methylhexanoic acid isopropyl ester. n USE: An orally administrable remedy for hypertension having human renin- inhibiting action. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by condensing the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III [the symbol (L) marked on C atom represents L-isomer] using diphenylphosphoric acid azide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
