| abstract | PURPOSE: An inexpensive mite controlling agent composition, containing phenyl salicylate, etc., as an active constituent, capable of exhibiting improved controlling effect on a wide range of mites, particularly Dermatophagoides farinae with low toxicity and a mite controlling material obtained by supporting the above-mentioned composition on a base material. n CONSTITUTION: A mite controlling agent composition containing at least one selected from phenyl salicylate, phenyl benzoate, diphenylamine, methyl β- naphhyl ketone and coumarin as an active constituent. The composition may be directly used, but a carrier or adjuvant is added to formulate the composition in the form of oil, wettable powder, spray, granule, etc., and used by placing or applying the formulation on TATAMI, floor, closet, etc. Alternatively, the composition may be applied, impregnated into or kneaded with a base material such as synthetic resin sheet, animal or vegetable fiber sheet, nonwoven fabric or foil of metal, e.g. aluminum, and supported thereon to form a mite controlling material, which is used as a mite controlling sheet or building material, e.g. mite controlling carpet, having mite controlling activity, etc., and installed in the above-mentioned place. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
