titleOfInvention 1,3,4-tridehydro-fangchinolium hydroxide
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula. n USE: A hypotensor having inhibitory action on angiotensin I converting enzymes. n PREPARATION: For example, Stephania tetrandra S.MOORE is extracted with water, alcohol, etc., and the solvent is removed from the extract. Then, as necessary, the residue is dissolved in water, etc., followed by partitioning with an organic solvent such as n-hexane, etc., and the water fraction is concentrated, followed by addition of aqueous ammonia of pH 9. Then after subjecting to an extraction with chloroform, an essence of the aqueous ammonia extract is further subjected to column chromatography and thin layer chromatography. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
