titleOfInvention | Preparation of thin nitrocellulose film |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a thin film having excellent filterability in a soln. state as well as uniform thickness, good appearance and excellent optical quality when the film is formed, by supplying methyl isobutyl ketone soln. of nitrocellulose onto the horizontal face of a rotator. CONSTITUTION:Nitrocellulose soln. in methyl isoburyl ketone is supplied onto the horizontal face of a rotator and spread over it by the centrifugal force yielded by rotating the rotator to form a thin nitrocellulose film. the nitrocellulose soln. prepd. by dissolving 4-10g of nitrocellulose per 100g of methyl isobutyl ketone is pref. used. Besides, di-isobutyl phthalate, cyclohexanone etc., may be added as an additive. The nitrocellulose soln. is filtered through a filter before preparing the film for its use. The filtering is done by a filtration method under pressure where a 0.2mu filter, for example, is used. |
