PURPOSE:To obtain a tubular article having excellent long-term sliding char acteristics as well as toughness at high temperature, by compounding PET with a specific ionic copolymer, etc., as a nucleation agent and forming the composition. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of polyethylene terephthalate is compounded with (B) 0.01-20pts.wt. of one or more nucleation agents selected from benzoate, tere(or iso)phthalate, monoalkyltere(or iso)phthalate or organic phosphate of group I, II or III metal of the periodic table, a metal oxide, silica, mica, kaolin, talc and an ionic copolymer composed of alpha-olefin and alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid wherein at least a part of the carboxyl group takes the form of metallic salt. The obtained composition is formed in the form of a tube. The component B is preferably Na salt of an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer, etc. |
