titleOfInvention | Manufacture of resin molded form embedding living body |
abstract | PURPOSE:To embed a living body without changing the shade and configuration thereof in a condition that it exists in natural field, by a method wherein the living body is dipped into a monomer capable of becoming the condition of supercooling, and the monomer is polymerized by projecting ionizing radiant ray while keeping it in a transparent and supercooled condition. CONSTITUTION:When a living body is dipped into a monomer capable of becoming supercooled condition and ionizable radiant ray is projected on it while keeping it in a transparent and supercooled condition, the polymerizing reaction is finished usually in a short period of time of about 1-3 hours usually. Typical monomer capable of becoming a supercooled condition is methacrylic acid or the alkyl eater of methacrylic acid (here, the number of carbon atoms of alkyl group is 1-10). The ionizing radiant ray is for example, alpha ray, beta ray, gammaray, X ray, ultraviolet ray or the like, and the dose of radiant ray is within the range of 1X10<5>-5X10<6> rad usually. A polymerizing temperature is within a range in which the monomer becomes supercooled condition, however, it is preferable that polymerization is effected at a temperature in which the monomer becomes the condition of an amorphous solid phase. Generally, the temperature is within the range of-180 deg.C-0 deg.C. |
