abstract | PURPOSE: A resin composition for coating, obtained by containing a specific vinyl based polymer and specific curing agent or further dissociation accelerator, having improved storage stability and low-temperature curability, capable of being a one-pack type coating material and suitable for exterior finish of buildings, etc. n CONSTITUTION: A resin composition for coating obtained from a vinyl based polymer, prepared by copolymerizing a vinyl based monomer mixture consisting of (A) 1W10wt% vinyl based monomer having ≥1 unsaturated double bonds and ≥1 siloxy groups, e.g. trimethylsiloxyethyl (meth)acrylate. etc., with (B) 99W0wt% vinyl based monomer copolymerizable with the above-mentioned vinyl based monomer, e.g. styrene, etc., in the presence of a radical generator, e.g. azobisisobutyronitrile, etc., and having preferably 500W50,000 number-average mol.wt., a curing agent reactive with hydroxyl groups produced from the above- mentioned polymer, e.g. tolylene diisocyanate, etc., or further a dissociation accelerator, e.g., phosphoric acid, etc., for the above-mentioned siloxy groups. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
