abstract PURPOSE: To mass-produce elastic rollers at low cost by a method wherein firstly heat-resistant resin tube is mounted onto the inner surface of a mold and a shaft is mounted at the center of the mold and secondly heat-resistant elastic body is poured between the tube and the shaft into vulcanization. n CONSTITUTION: Firstly, heat-resistant resin tube 10, one end part 10a on a flange 4 side of which is mounted on the inner surface at the end of a mold 2, is arranged in the interior of the mold 2. An elastic roller shaft 3 is set at the center of the mold by the boss parts 4c and 6c of the flanges 4 and 6. Secondly, elastic material is packed in the tetrafluoroethylene per fluoroalkylvinylether copolymer (PFA) resin tube 10 so as to be expanded and vulcanized as desired by gradually heating the mold from the flange 4 side to the flange 6 side. Because the elastic material or silicone rubber filling the mold expands itself from inside to outside, the bondings between the silicone rubber and the shaft and between the silicone rubber and the PFA resin tube are effected favorably. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
