titleOfInvention Organic photosensitive body for electrophotography
abstract PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a photosensitive layer and substrate and to obviate the generation of pinholes in the photosensitive layer by incorporating a mixture composed of an acryl polyurethane, titanium oxide (IV) and tin oxide (II) into an under coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The mixture composed of the acryl polyurethane, titanium oxide (IV) and tin oxide (II) is incorporated into the under coating layer. The titanium oxide (IV) and tin oxide (II) are incorporated into the acryl polyurethane in a 50-300pts.wt., more preferably 100-200pts.wt. range per 100pts.wt. acryl polyurethane. The resistance vale of the under coating layer is too high and the degraded sensitivity and increased residual potential of the photosensitive body are caused if the content thereof is below 50pts.wt. The smoothness of the under coating layer is lost; therefore, the under coating layer is not suitable as the photosensitive body if the content exceeds 300pts.wt. The tin oxide (II) is incorporated into the under coating layer in a 5-40pts.wt., more preferably 10-30pts.wt. per 80pts.wt.titanium oxide (IV). The layer thickness of the under coating layer is specified to a 1-40mum, more preferably 5-25mum range.
