titleOfInvention | Triphenylmethane/acidic amino acid copolymer |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title photoresponsive copolymer latently endowed with properties utilizable in control of quantity of light, visual color change, photoswitching, image formation, etc. and being useful for photo-pH sensors, photoion sensors and photobiosensors, by bonding three specified structural units through amide bonds. n CONSTITUTION: The title photoresponsive copolymer of average MW of 513W5,000,000, comprising 20W49mol% repeating units of formula I (wherein m is 1 or 2), 20W49mol% repeating units of formula II and 2W60mol% structural units of formula III (wherein R is H, CH 3 or C 2 H 5 , X is a bond or R, and R is H when X is a bond, and Y is H or OH) and formed by bonding units of formulas IWIII through amide bonds is obtained by, for example, a process comprising adding dropwise an amino compound obtained by dissolving, for example, leuco-malachite green in dimethyldormamide, nitrating it with concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid and reducing it to a solution of a poly(acidic amino acid) in dimethyl-formamide and reacting the both by using dichlohexylcarbodiimide or hydroxybenzotriazole as a catalyst. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
