titleOfInvention | Photopolymerizable composition |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in sensitivity to visible light and storage stability and useful as, e.g., a dental material, by mixing an addition-polymerizable compound having an ethylenic double bond with a photoinitiator comprising an alpha-diketone and a specified azo compound. CONSTITUTION:An addition-polymerizable compound (a) having at least one ethylenic double bond is mixed with a photoinitiator (b) comprising 0.5-10wt%, based on component (a), azo compound (i) of formula I (wherein A and A' are each nitrile or 1 1-20C hydrocarbyl, B, B' D and D' are each 1-20C hydrocarbyl or B and D and/or B' and D' may be combined together to form cyclic structures, and A, A', B, B', C and D' may each contain a 1-4C alkoxy, a 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl, a 2-5C amido or amino), 0.1-5wt%, based on compo nent (a), alpha-diketone (ii) of formula II (wherein X is a 1-20C aliphatic hydrocar bon group or the two X groups may be combined together to form a cyclic structure and, optionally, a mercapto group-containing compound and an organic peroxide and, optionally, a filler (C). |
