titleOfInvention Production of 4-aminomethyl-1,8-diaminooctane
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound in high yield under mild condition, by carrying out liquid-phase hydrogenation of 1,3,6-tricyanohexane in the presence of Raney-Ni catalyst under a specific reaction condition setting the reaction amount of the starting raw material below a specific level per unit time. n CONSTITUTION: 4-Aminomethyl-1,8-diaminooctane is produced by the liquid-phase hydrogenation of 1,3,6-tricyanohexane (abbreviated as TCH) in the presence of a Raney-Ni catalyst. The reaction is carried out by charging the Raney-Ni catalyst (at an amount of especially preferably 2W15wt% based on alcohol solvent), an alcohol solvent (especially preferably 80W99% hydrated ethanol), an alkali metal hydroxide (e.g. NaOH at an amount of preferably 0.1W1.0wt% based on the alcohol solvent) and hydrogen in a reactor and successively adding TCH at an average rata of 0.005W0.045, especially 0.008W0.04g/min.g-Raney-Ni catalyst into the reactor keeping the catalyst concentration at 1W50wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
