titleOfInvention | Light receiving material |
abstract | PURPOSE:To maintain a desired function for a long period by using a surface protective layer made of nonmonocrystalline boron or nitrogen phosphide containing one of H or halogen atoms. CONSTITUTION:The thin film to be used as the surface protective layer of the light receiving material of an electrophotographic sensitive body is made of nonmonocrystalline boron or nitrogen phosphide containing one of H or halogen atoms [Non-P-(H,X)]. At that time, the noncombined valence of the nonmonocrystalline nitrogen phosphide is compensated by at least one of H and X (halogen) atoms, thus permitting the surface protective layer very small in defect to be obtained, the effective coordination number of each atom constituting said nitrogen phosphide film to be decreased by the presence of the H or X atoms, the flexibility of the thin film to be increased, and accordingly, adhesion to the underlaid layer to be improved. |
