titleOfInvention Flow cell for particle analyser
abstract PURPOSE:To reduce harmful light, by applying a reflection preventing film especially lowering the reflection of the wavelength of laser beam to be used to the inner surface of a flow cell. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam L from a beam source 2 is formed into an image on the flow passage 1a of a flow cell 1 by an image forming lens 3. The forward scattering beam of the beam L impinging against specimen particles in the sample liquid flowing through the cell 1 is condensed to a beam detector 6. When the specimen particles are labelled with fluorescence, said particles are gathered to beam detectors 13, 15 provided in a 90 deg.-direction to perform the analytical classification of particles. A reflection preventing membrane whose reflectivity lies between the reflectivity of the material of the cell 1 and that of water is applied to the inside the flow passage 1a. Further, a reflection preventing film to a specific wavelength region is applied to the outer surface of the cell 1 in the side of the optical axis 01 thereof and a reflection preventing film to a use wavelength region is applied to the outer surface of the cell 1 in the side of the optical axis 02 thereof. By this method, harmful light due to an inner surface reflection can be reduced.
