titleOfInvention Production of flame-retardant resin composition
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a highly flame-retardant resin composition outstanding in both mechanical and thermal properties suitable for electrical insulation materials, electrical parts, etc., by incorporating a specific modified propylene with glass fiber and organic halogen-based flame-retardant. CONSTITUTION:The object resin composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) a modified polypropylene prepared by melt blending of A1: 100pts.wt. of a polypropylene with a melt flow rate 0.1-15, A2: 0.01-5pts.wt. of an unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) (e.g. acrylic acid). and A3: 0.01-1pt.wt. of an organic peroxide with an 1min. half life temperature <=150 deg.C (e.g. benzoyl peroxide) with (B) glass fiber 1-25mm long with a diameter 0.3-50mu and (C) an organic halogen-based flame-retardant (e.g. decabromodiphenyl oxide).
