abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled herbicide containing an active component produced by mixing bensulide and MCPA, exhibiting high herbicidal activity against all kinds of weeds including broad-leaved weeds such as shepherd's purse, etc., and having broad margin of application time. n CONSTITUTION: The objective herbicide contains an active component consisting of a mixture of (A) bensulide (O,O-diisopropyl-S-(2-phenylsulfonylaminoethyl) phosphorodit-hioate) effective against gramineous weeds and (B) MCPA [(4- chloro-o-tolyloxy)acetic acid] effective also against broad-leaved weeds. It is applied either by soil-treatment or foliar treatment. Foliar treatment of weeds after sprouting is also possible.
