abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a sandwich panel having no fear of bulging core material and face materials after the release of pressing and a small surface unevenness by a method wherein rigid urethane foam is expanded in a space surrounded by the face material and side wall materials and, after that, the gas in the space is sucked outside. CONSTITUTION:The peripheries of face materials 10 are fixed to side wall materials 12 by means of nails or the like so as to form a space 16 surrounded by the side wall materials 12 and the face materials 10. The face materials 10 are pressed from outside with a pressing device 20. After that, raw rigid urethane foam material 24a is poured in the space 16 from a pouring nozzle 22 set to a hole on the side wall material. The poured raw rigid urethane foam material 24a expands developing heat and gas so as to fill the space 16 into rigid urethane foam in order to form a core material 24. After the completion of gas blowing reaction, the gas in the space 16 is sucked outside by means of a suction apparatus consisting of a suction hose 25, which is set to a hole 14 on the side wall material,a vacuum tank 26, a vacuum pump 28 and the like, thus removing the internal pressure which tends to bulge the core material 24 and consequently swell the face materials 10 outwards.
