titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, low fog and superior shelf stability at high temp. and giving a high contrast image by using silver halide particles having a specified composition in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer formed on a support and by incorporating a specified compound into a hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:When hydrophilic collodial layers including a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer are formed on a support to obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material, silver halide particles having a two-layered structure consisting of core and shell parts and aged without fogging are used in the emulsion layer. The silver halide in the shell parts of the silver halide particles contains >=80mol% silver chloride and the silver chloride content is higher than that of the core parts. A compound represented by the formula is incorporated into (other) hydrophilic colloidal layer. In the formula, each of R<1>-R<3> is H or a group having a negative Hammett's sigma-value and X<-> is an anionic group.
