PURPOSE: To obtain antithyroxine antibody 3E-8A useful as a reagent for enzymatic immunoassay of thyroxine, by culturing mouse hybridoma TSK-KS-32 in a medium or in an abdominal cavity of mouse. n CONSTITUTION: Calf serum albumin T 4 (BSA-T 4 ) is produced by reacting calf serum albumin with activated methylthyroxine-hemiglutarate obtained by the reaction of thyroxine and thionyl chloride, etc. A mouse is immunized by peritoneal infusion of the BSA-T 4 . A pancreas cell of the immunized mouse is fused with mouse myeloma cell and the obtained mouse hybridoma TSK-KS-32 (HKS-32) is transplanted in the abdominal cavity of a mouse. After about 2 weeks, ascites is collected from the mouse and subjected to centrifugal separation, dialysis, etc., to obtain the objective antithyroxine monoclonal antibody 3E-8A having the following properties.
