abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a resin compsn. for powder coating, which has excellent blocking resistance and gives a coating film having an excellent appearance, mechanical strengths, resistance to weather and corrosion, etc., containing a polyester resin having a specified acid value and a specified softening point and a polyepoxy compd. n CONSTITUTION: A polyester resin (A) having a hydroxyl value of 10W70KOHmg/ g and an acid value of 2W10KOHmg/g is reacted with a halogenated polycarboxylic acid (anhydride) (B) (e.g., tetrachloroterephthalic anhydride) to obtain a polyester resin having an acid value of 15W100KOHmg/g and a ring and ball softening paint of 70W150°C. 60W97pts.wt. said polyester resin and 40W3pts.wt. polyepoxy compd. having at least two epoxy groups per molecule (e.g., bisphenol A diglycidyl ether) are used as essential ingredients to obtain the desired resin compsn. for powder coating. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
