abstract PURPOSE: To prevent reduction in nitrile hydrating activity with time resulting from nitrile hydratase produced by a bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas and to preserve the activity stably, by adding a specific compound to the nitrile hydratase. n CONSTITUTION: Nitrile hydratase having nitrile hydrating activity produced by a bacterium such as Pseudomonas chlororaphis B23 (FERM P-187), Pseudomonas sp. PS1 (FERM P-188), etc., belonging to the genus Pseudomonas, a mold of the bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas, suspension or a solution of an immobilized substance thereof is blended with 0.01W50g/l, preferably 0.1W10g/l at least one compound such as isobutyronitrile, isobutylamide, isobutyric acid, etc., selected from nitriles, amides, organic acids or salts thereof as a stabilizer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
