titleOfInvention Production of chelating epoxy resin
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a chelating epoxy resin of uniform quality in a manner advantageous for safety, by reacting a P-OH bond-containing phosphoric acid, its ester or its salt with an epoxy resin in an aqueous solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A phosphoric acid having at least one P-OH bond, its ester or its salt is reacted in an aqueous solvent. As the epoxy resin, one having at least 1.7 epoxy groups per molecule on the average and an epoxy equivalent of 70W1,000 is generally used. Examples of said epoxy resins include epoxidized silanes and epoxidized soybean oil. Particularly, orthophosphoric acid is generally used as said phosphoric acid. Particularly, mono- or di-n-butyl or 2- ethylhexyl phosphate is preferable as said ester. Particularly, primary or secondary phosphate of Na or Ca is preferable as the salt. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
