titleOfInvention | Method for purifying pyrroloquinolinequinone |
abstract | PURPOSE: In purifying the titled compound by ion exchange chromatography, to reduce content of impurities except inorganic salts readily, by cleaning the interior of a column with a buffer solution before development and elution with a buffer solution containing salt. n CONSTITUTION: In purifying an aqueous solution of crude pyrrolo- quinolinequinone (PQQ) by ion exchange chromatography such as DEAE- Sephadex (diethylaminoethyl type anion exchange resin Sephadex)A-25, etc., after the aqueous solution is dropped from the top of a column and PQQ is adsorbed on the ion exchanger and before the adsorbed PQQ is developed and eluted with a buffer solution containing a slat such as NaCl, KCl, etc., the interior of the column is washed with an ordinary buffer solution containing no salt and content of impurities (e.g. water-soluble substances such as protein, saccharide, glycopilid, etc.) except inorganic salts in a fraction containing PQQ salt useful as a coenzyme is readily reduced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
