titleOfInvention | Glycidyl ether-type polyepoxy compound and production thereof |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:An essentially soluble/meltable glycidyl ether-type polyepoxy compound of formula (X and Y are Cl, Br or CH 3 ; R 1 is 1W10C hydrocarbon group; R is mono or dicarbonyl compound residue having an average carbon number of 1W10 and average valence of 2W4; m is 0W2 on an average; m' is 0W1 on an average; n is 1W5 on an average; p is 1W2 on an average; q is 0W8 on an average; = and ... are present or absent atomic valence). n USE: A raw material for a curable resin having excellent heat-resistance and low hygroscopicity, easily processable to a flame-retardant composition and suitable for materials for advanced technology, etc. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula can be produced by reacting one of (A) a polynaphthol compound and (B) dihydric naphthol with (C) a bisphenol diglycidyl ether-type epoxy compound. The molar ratio of the epoxy groups in the compound C to the phenolic hydroxyl groups in the compound A or B is selected so as to give a soluble or meltable product by the addition reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
