abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound having following physical and chemical properties: KS-619-1 melting point; 198W200°C (decomp.); description: orange powder; solubility: readily soluble in acetic acid; soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate and butanol; slightly soluble in water; coloring reactions: positive to ferric chloride, iodine and anisaldehyde reactions, respectively; molecular weight: 474; elementary analyses: H: 3.68, C: 65.52, N: 0% (observed), H: 3.79, C: 65.82, O: 30.38, N: 0% calculated as C 26 H 18 O 9 . n USE: Vasodilator. n PREPARATION: A microorganism in Streptomyces capable of producing KS-619-1 such as Streptomyces californicus ATCC 3312 strain, is cultured at 20W40°C and a nearly neutral pH for 3W15 days and KS-619-1 is isolated and collected from the culture mixture by the usual method. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
