abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic resin molded article having the surface which is superior in abrasion resistance and weather resistance, by a method wherein a coating composite containing a hydrolyzate of alkoxysilane containing a (meta)acryloxy group and silica sol is applied to a template, dried through heating and one surface is coated with a cured film of the coating composite by casting base resin raw materials. CONSTITUTION:A coating composite containing hydrolyzate of alkoxysilane containing a (meta)acryloxy group and silica sol is applied to at least one inner surface of a template and is dried beforehand through heating and a thin film is formed. At least one surface of the template, which is molded by a method wherein base resin raw materials are cast into the template and polymerization is applied to the same, is coated with a cured film derived from the coating composite. As a synthetic resin molded article, the cured film of desirably 0.003-0.03mm in thickness of the coating composite is stuck strongly to the surface of base resin, abrasive resistance of the surface is improved drastically and weather resistance becomes favorable also. Then the titled molded article does not have even a poor external appearance such as wrinkles or unevenness and can easily be removed from the template.
