titleOfInvention Production of poly (aryl ether ketone) yarn
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled yarn without causing reduction in elongation and fluff, by subjecting a specific poly (aryl ether ketone) to melt spinning to give yarn, drawing the yarn at ≤a glass transition temperature of the yarn and heat-treating the drawn yarn at a temperature higher than crystallization temperature and lower than melting point. n CONSTITUTION: A poly (aryl ether ketone) consisting of at least one of repeating units shown by formula I (Ar is phenylene, biphenylene or naphthalene; X is O, CO or direct bond; n is 0W3), formula II (a is 1W4 integer; b and c are 0 or 1), formula III (d is 0 or 1), formula IV (e is 0 or 1), formula V, etc., is subjected to melt spinning to prepare yarn, which is drawn at a temperature ≤glass transition temperature (Tg) of the yarn and optionally heat-treated at a temperature higher than crystallization temperature (Tc) of the drawn yarn and lower than melting point (Tm) after the drawing to give the aimed yarn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
