abstract PURPOSE: To lower internal stress and to improve electrical characteristics, resistance to moisture and impact, etc., by blending fine particles of a polymer, wherein a coating layer of a polymer having a glass transition temp. not lower than room temp. is formed on the surface of a polymer having a glass transition temp. lower than room temp., with an epoxy resin. n CONSTITUTION: A monomer giving a polymer having a glass transition temp. not lower than room temp. is added to an aq. dispersion of fine particles of a polymer having a glass transition temp. lower than room temp. and polymerized. The polymn. mixture is dried to remove water and the product is mixed with an epoxy resin. Pref. the fine particle of the polymer having a glass transition temp. lower than room temp. is formed from (1) a copolymer of a monomer contg. a functional group with a monomer giving a homopolymer having a glass transition temp. lower than room temp. and/or (2) a mixture of the homopolymers of the above two monomers. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
