abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound at a low cost without requiring sterilization, germ-free control of a culture medium and expensive equipment, by cultivating a microorganism of the genus Zoogloea having resistance to hydrogen peroxide and collecting the resultant product from the cultivated microbial cells thereof. n CONSTITUTION: A sludge collected from waste water treatment equipment is filled in an aeration tank 1 of an experimental apparatus and a culture medium containing hydrogen peroxide is fed from a raw material feed pipe 3. Air is blown from an air blowing pipe 2 to feed oxygen and the culture medium is gently stirred at the same time to cultivate Zoogloea ramigera (ATCC 19623 strain) belonging to a microorganism of the genus Zoogloea in the sludge. A solution overflowed from an overflow pipe 4 provided above the aeration tank 1 is fed to a settling tank 5 to settle the sludge, which is returned to the aeration tank 1 by a return sludge pipe 6. The resultant culture fluid is then discharged from a discharge pipe 7, settled, concentrated, homogenized and extracted to afford the aimed enzyme. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
