titleOfInvention | Production of 1,2-hexadecanediol |
abstract | PURPOSE: To efficiently produce the titled substance, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Rhodococcus, capable of producing the titled substance, by using 1-hexedecene as a carbon source. n CONSTITUTION: A bacterium such as Rhodococcus equi ATCC6939, etc., capable of producing 1,2-hexadecanediol is cultivated by the use of 1-hexedecene as a carbon source. A hydrocarbon, organic acid, etc., may be added as carbon source besides 1-hexedecene and an organic ammonium salt, etc., are used as a nitrogen source. The culture is carried out under an aerobic condition and 1,2-hexadecanediol is collected by an ordinary method. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
