titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic sensitive body |
abstract | PURPOSE:To prevent the ground coloring of an image formed on a sensitive body for infrared rays by using a specified cyanine dye having absorption in the near infrared region but little absorption in the visible region as a sensitizing dye. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer contg. an org. charge transferring substance such as a triphenylmethane compound, a cyanine dye represented by the formula and a resin such as polycarbonate is formed on an electrically conductive support to obtain a sensitive body having a simplified structure. In the formula, A is -CH=CH-CH= or the like, each of Y and Y' is S or the like, each of Z and Z' is halogen or the like, each of R1 and R1' is alkyl, each of n1 and n2 is 0, 1 or 2, n1+n2>=2, and X<-> is an anion. Since the cyanine dye hardly absorbing visible light is used as a sensitizing dye, a clear image nearly free from ground coloring is obtd. |
