titleOfInvention Production of phospholipid emulsion
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a stable phospholipid emulsion in a high concentration, having a low viscosity, good fluidity and useful for fluid therapy, by removing a neutral lipid of natural lecithin to give an aqueous dispersion of purified phospholipid, adding a fat or oil and protein to the dispersion and homogenizing the resultant blend. n CONSTITUTION: A neutral lipid is removed from natural lecithin by treatment with cold acetone, etc., to give purified lecithin containing ≥20wt% phosphatidyl choline (hereinafter abbreviated to PC). The resultant purified phospholipid is preferably dispersed in hot water at ≥80°C to afford a 10W50wt% aqueous dispersion. 20W100wt% fat or oil, e.g. soybean oil, rapeseed oil, etc., and 0.1W40wt% protein, e.g. sodium caseinate, albumin, etc., heated at ≥80°C are added and blended with the above-mentioned dispersion and homogenized under a high pressure to provide the aimed emulsion. The use of the fat or oil provides a dispersion of low viscosity and addition of the protein affords the stable emulsion. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
