abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer which has improved color tone and transparency and does not whiten in immersion in warm water, by polymerizing a conjugated diene and/or a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon in a hydrocarbon solvent by the use of an organolithium compound as an initiator, adding a specific polymerization inhibitor and removing the solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A conjugated diene and/or a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon are polymerized in a hydrocarbon solvent by the use of an organolithium compound as an initiator, a formed polymer solution is blended with (A) 0.01W5pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. polymer of a compound such as N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) alkyl(8W22C)amine, pentaerythritol(mono- or di- or tri)fatty acid (8W22C)ester, glycerin(mono- or di-) fatty acid ester, etc., (B) 0W3pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. polymer of a compound such as sorbitan fatty acid (8W22C)ester, sucrose fatty acid (8W22C) ester, polyglycerin fatty acid (8W22C)ester, etc., as a polymerization inhibitor in the absence of water and the solvent is removed to give the aimed polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
