titleOfInvention Extermination of cockroach
abstract PURPOSE: To safely, effectively and surely exterminate cockroaches at a low cost without using drugs having strong toxicity, by bringing aggregation pheromone of cockroaches discharged from a habitat area of cockroaches into contact with ozone and converting the aggregation pheromone into a repellent substance. n CONSTITUTION: A habitat area where feces containing aggregation pheromone and aggregation pheromone sticking by movement of cockroaches are present is closed up and ozone is generated in a room by using an ultraviolet lamp or silent discharge apparatus or ozone is released into the previously closed up room. According to the above-mentioned method, etc., the aggegation pheromone is converted into a repellent substance at about 0.5ppm ozone concentration for the ozone treatment overnight and about 20ppm ozone concentration for the treatment in a short time to exterminate cockroaches. The repellent effect is sustained for at least one week and the ozone treatment may be carried out if the effect is reduced or eliminated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
