abstract PURPOSE: To improve the S/N of a signal at and under a wide range of temp. and humidity by forming a thin ferromagnetic metallic film and resin layer contg. pulverized metallic particles on the surface of a high-polymer film. n CONSTITUTION: The thin ferromagnetic metallic film 7 and a vacuum deposited film 8 consisting of a perfluorooctanoic acid are formed on one face of the high-polymer film 6 consisting of a PE terephthalate. A metal-contg. coating layer 9 contg. pulverized aluminum particles 10 in an urethane resin 11 is formed on the other face. Such magnetic tape is subjected to recording and reproducing by a metal-in gap type ring head formed by sputtering a 'Sendustâ„«' alloy near a gap, by which the good S/N is obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
