abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition with reduced amount of flame- retardant to be used, of fire source non-dropping type, outstanding in flame- retardancy, suitable for various industrial product applications, by incorporating specified amount of flame-retardant in an aromatic monovinyl resin copolymerized with organic functional silane compound. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) an aromatic monovinyl resin containing, as copolymerized component, an organic functional silane compound (e.g. γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane) with (B) such an amount of a flame-retardant (e.g. decabromodiphenyl oxide) as to be 0.005W0.1wt% for the content of said silane compound in the final composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
