abstract PURPOSE: To make quantitative determination of protein with high accuracy and high sensitivity and with a simple operation by incorporating Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 (CBB), acid having 0W4pKa and agar respectively at specific weight % as effective components into the titled compsn. n CONSTITUTION: This comnpsn. is obtd. by incorporating 0.0025W0.02% (weight % final concn., hereafter the same), more preferably about 0.005% CBB, 0.5W2%, more preferably about 1%, acid having 0W4pKa, and 1W5%, more preferably about 1.5% aga as the effectively components into said compsn. The combination of the agar to make the compsn. gel-like and the CBB utilized as a coloring agent gives an important influence to the characteristics of the compsn. The coloration in the compsn. itself is strongly admitted and the background is too high even in the case of using the Coomassie Brilliant Blue R-250 having the resembling structure as the coloring agent except CBB.
