NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [m is 0W7; n is 0W8; R is (substituted) phenyl or (substituted) phenoxy; R 1 is H; R 2 is H, branched alkyl, phenyl, hydroxyphenyl, alkylthio, amino, carboxyl, OH, benzyloxy, indolyl, imidazolyl, etc.; R 1 and R 2 together form the bond between C and N; R is 7W9C arylalkyloxy and R 1 and R 2 together form the bond between C and N when m is 0]. n EXAMPLE: N-(γ-Phenyl)butanoyl-L-Val-pyrrolidinimide. n USE: Useful as an ameliorant of cerebral function, particularly preventing and treating agent for amnesia capable of exhibiting antiendoprolyl peptidase activity and antiamnesic action. n PREPARATION: A carboxylic acid halide expressed by formula II (X is haloge) is reacted with an amino acid expressed by formula III and the resultant compound is then condensed with pyrrolidine and, as necessary, deprotected to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
