abstract NEW MATERIAL:A benzylamine derivative of formula I [R 1 is alkyl; R 2 is group of formula II or III (R 4 is H, lower alkyl or halogen); R 3 is alkyl or alkenyl] and its acid addition salt. n EXAMPLE: N-methyl-N-(4-tert-butylbenzyl)-1-naphthylmethylamine. n USE: Useful as an antimycotic agent for pharmaceutical use, an agricultural fungicide and industrial fungicide. It can be safely used with little side effect. It has remarkable microbicidal activity against animal-parasitic fungi, phytopathogenic microorganism and various microorganisms causing deterioration of industrial materials and products, etc., and is effective in preventing various troubles caused by the above microorganisms. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting the compound of formula IV with the compound of formula V in an inert solvent in the presence of a basic substance preferably at room temperature W 60°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
