titleOfInvention Novel chitosanase-producing strain
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The chitosanase-producing Alcaligenes MHK-1 strain (FERM P-8662) belonging to Alcaligenes genus. n USE: The strain produces highly active chitosanase, which hydrolyzes chitosan and improves its utility as a selective adsorbent, etc. n PREPARATION: For example, various soil specimens are cultured on a medium containing 1% colloidal chitosan, 0.1% peptone, 0.1% KH 2 PO 4 , 0.05% MgSO 4 .7H 2 O and 1.5% agar at 28°C for 96hr. A colony is collected and the cultivation is repeated to obtain the objective strain. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
