titleOfInvention Exhaust timing controller of two-cycle engine
abstract PURPOSE: To simplify the elimination of carbon adhered to a prescribed place, in a mechanism which the opening upper portion of an exhaust passage formed in a cylinder is closed by plate-like valves, by forming edges being parallel to an axis on a portion which is opposed to the inner wall of the exhaust passage of the axis support portions of the valves. n CONSTITUTION: A depression 15 is formed on the upper portion of an exhaust passage 3 and on the slightly downstream side of an exhaust port 4, and plate- like valves 18 which are oscillatable around an axis 5 are received in this depression 15. The axis 5 is connected with a drive source driving corresponding to the revolution speed of an engine via a valve driving mechanism 8. And the valves 18 comprise tubular axis support portions 18a into which the axis 5 is penetrated and plate-like valve portions 18b which extend from these axis support portions 18a to the exhaust port 4. Then, end surfaces 18c rising almost vertically to the valve portions 18b are formed on the portion side succeeding the valve portions 18b of the upper surface of the axis support portions 18a. Thus, edges P are formed between the end surfaces 18c and the upper surface of the axis support portions 18a, so that carbon adhered to the upper surface 15a of the depression 15 can be eliminated by these edges P. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
