titleOfInvention | Desensitizing ink |
abstract | PURPOSE:To provide a desensitizing ink free of after-yellowing or odor problems, having a better desensitizing effect with a smaller amount of coating as compared with conventional desensitizing inks and having a great desensitizing effect even on a fluoran coloring matter precursor capable of being developed into a black color, by incorporating a higher fatty acid ester of polyethylene glycol as a main constituent. CONSTITUTION:A higher fatty acid ester of polyethylene glycol for use in this desensitizing ink is obtained by esterifying polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 100-3,000 with a higher fatty acid, e.g., a saturated fatty acid such as lauric acid, myristic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid such as oleic acid and linoleic acid, or a fatty acid obtained from animal or vegetable oils such as linseed oil, safflower oil, tung oil, soybean oil, castor oil cotton seed oil, whale oil and beef tallow, which are mixtures of the above-mentioned oils. Though the ester may be either a monoester or a diester, the monoester is preferable for use in a desensitizing ink for a pressure-sensitive copying paper. |
