titleOfInvention Cystine derivative and salt thereof
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula (R1 is 7-29C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is H or acyl; M is H or cation). EXAMPLE:N,N'-Dilauloylcystine. USE:Useful for surface active agent for cosmetic, emulsifying agent, dispersant, whitening agent, pearling agent, gelatinizing agent, etc. Forming disulfide bond to provide hair with semipermanent luster. PREPARATION:Cystine is dehydrohalogenated with 7-29C fatty acid halide (e.g., caprylic acid) in water in the presence of a basic catalyst (e.g., sodium hydroxide) at 20-60 deg.C at pH 8-12 to give a compound shown by the formula.
