titleOfInvention Enzymatic measuring method of urea
abstract PURPOSE: To determine urea in a test specimen precisely, by adding a specific reagent to the liquid test specimen, treating the test specimen with urea amidolyase in the reagent and measuring amounts of formed adenosine-2- phosphate, inorganic phosphorus and ammonia. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid test specimen such as blood, urine, etc., is treated with urea amidolyase in the presence of adenosine-3-phosphate, a bicarbonate, a bivalent cation, a monovalent cation and a lower alcohol and adenosine-2- phosphate, inorganic phosphorus and ammonia formed in the treatment are measured to determined urea. Formed adenosine-2-phosphate is preferably measured by treating it with pyruvate kinase and pyruvate oxidase in the presence of a phosphoenolpyruvate, thiamine pyrophosphate and a coloring indicator. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
