titleOfInvention | Plaster for external application |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a plaster for external use, containing 4-(1-methyl-4- piperidylidene)-4H-benzo(4,5)cyclohepta(1,2-b)thiophen-10(9H)one, retained to the skin part without being absorbed in blood, capable of containing a sufficient amount of the active component, and having excellent effect. n CONSTITUTION: The objective plaster contains 4-(1-methyl-4-piperidylidene)-4H- benzo(4,5)cyclohepta(1,2-b)thiophen-10(9H)one (abbreviated as ketotifen). The agent contains other constituent components such as a skin-stimulating agent and analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent (e.g. salicylic acid), a transcutaneously absorbable drug such as central nervous agent (e.g. flufenadine), and a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent such as natural rubber, and the plaster composition composed of the above components is spreaded on a substrate to obtain the objective plaster for external use. The amount of ketotifen useful as a rash-preventing agent is 0.1W5%, preferably 0.2W3%, especially 0.5W2%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
