titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material which has excellent color reproducibility and is remarkably improved in both the fastness to light of a magenta color image and the yellowing generated by light by incorporating a specific magenta coupler and specific compd. in the form of coil drops into at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:The magenta coupler expressed by the formula (a), the magenta coupler expressed by formula I and the compd. expressed by formula (b) are incorporated in the form of oil drops into at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers. In formulas, Ar denotes an aryl group Y denotes a group which is eliminated when a dye is formed by coupling with a hydrogen atom, etc., Z denotes a nonmetallic atomic group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocyclic ring, X denotes a substituent which can be eliminated by the reaction with a hydrogen atom, etc., and R denotes a hydrogen atom, etc. An oil in water type emulsification method is executed satisfactorily by dissolving the magenta coupler expressed by formula (A) and the magenta coupler expressed by formula I into the compd. expressed by formula (b) and/or a high boiling point org. solvent having a low dielectric constant and emulsifying and dispersing the soln. into a hydrophilic binder such as aq. gelatin soln. by a dispersing means such as stirrer using a surface active agent then adding the emulsion or dispersion into the silver halide emulsion layer.
