titleOfInvention Production of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an antiulcer agent and antiplasmic agent, in high yield at a low cost, by reacting trans-4- aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid with a chlorination agent and reacting the reaction product with protected 4-hydroxyphenylpropionic acid. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be produced by (1) reacting trans-4- aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid with a chlorination agent (e.g. thionyl chloride) in a solvent such as ethylene chloride to obtain trans-4- aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid chloride hydrochloride, (2) reacting the produced compound in a solvent such as methylene chloride at 40W100°C with a compound obtained by protecting carboxyl group of 4- hydroxyphenylpropionic acid with a silylation agent and (3) deprotecting the product by acid decomposition or hydrolysis. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
